Undiknas and Edith Cowan University Successfully Conclude the 4-Week New Colombo Plan 2025 Program in Bali
Denpasar, Bali, December 19, 2025 – After a month of intensive academic collaboration and cross-cultural immersion, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) and Edith Cowan University (ECU) officially closed the New Colombo Plan (NCP) 2025 program on December 19. The closing event, held in Denpasar, marked the culmination of a four-week journey designed to strengthen the educational ties between Indonesia and Australia. The program has served as a dynamic platform for students to not only exchange knowledge but also to build lasting international networks, fostering a deeper understanding of the bilateral relationship between the two nations through various field studies and academic dialogues.

The final day’s agenda began with a focus on academic outcomes, where participants showcased their growth through final presentations. During this session, students from both universities presented the results of their group discussions and collaborative projects developed over the past month. These presentations highlighted critical insights into the local industries, cultural observations, and business strategies they had studied, demonstrating the program’s success in sharpening the participants’ analytical and public speaking skills. The atmosphere was filled with intellectual enthusiasm as students exchanged feedback and reflected on the diverse perspectives they had gathered during their time in Bali. Following the academic sessions, the event transitioned into an emotional and celebratory closing ceremony. A highlight of the event was the screening of a recap video, documenting the entire journey from the opening day to the final moments. The video captured the essence of the program, featuring snippets of classroom activities, industrial visits—such as the trip to Hatten Winery—and various cultural excursions, evoking a sense of nostalgia and accomplishment among the attendees. The formal closing ceremony solidified the bond between Undiknas and ECU, with representatives from both institutions expressing their pride in the students’ dedication and the smooth execution of the 2025 program.

To wrap up the day and the program on a high note, the delegation enjoyed a communal lunch at Berlin Resto, allowing for a final moment of relaxed social interaction and networking in a casual setting. The day concluded with a visit to Krishna Oleh-Oleh, Bali’s famous souvenir center, where the Australian students had the opportunity to purchase local handicrafts and mementos. This final excursion was not just about shopping, but about supporting the local economy and ensuring the participants took a piece of Balinese culture back home with them, perfectly rounding off their four-week educational adventure in the Island of the Gods.
