International Company Visit to Thailand: A Successful Journey of Learning and Collaboration
Denpasar, Indonesia – May 20, 2024 – Last week, from May 15th to 18th, 2024, students from Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (UNDIKNAS) had the extraordinary opportunity to participate in an international company visit to Thailand. This enriching program was marked by a series of insightful activities hosted by one of Thailand’s most prestigious institutions, Mahidol University. During the visit to Mahidol University, our students attended the Mahidol Engineering Maker Expo. Here, they were exchanging thoughts, ideas and impressed by the innovative capstone projects presented by Mahidol’s engineering students. This expo showcased the remarkable creativity and technical skills of the students, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and inspiration.
The visit also included a comprehensive benchmarking session on waste management practices. Our students toured the University Waste Bank, the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy Learning Room, and the Composting Plant. These visits highlighted the importance of sustainable practices and waste management, essential for fostering a greener future. Our students gained valuable insights into practical applications of sustainability principles that are crucial for modern engineering and environmental stewardship. Furthermore, discussions were held regarding potential academic collaborations between UNDIKNAS and Mahidol University. These discussions aimed at strengthening the partnership between our institutions, focusing on joint research projects, student exchanges, and other academic initiatives that can benefit both universities.
This international visit not only enhanced the educational experience of our students but also reinforced the commitment of UNDIKNAS to fostering global partnerships and promoting sustainable practices. We look forward to many more such collaborations that contribute to the academic and professional growth of our students.
