Undiknas Students Gain Global Business Insights at Edith Cowan University, Australia
In August 2024, students from Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) International Undergraduate Program participated in a dynamic Enrichment Program at Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Perth, Australia, with sessions held at both ECU’s City Campus and Joondalup locations. The program, designed to enhance students’ understanding of business and entrepreneurship, began with workshops on Team Dynamics and Collaboration led by ECU lecturers. Students learned the value of effective teamwork and explored Ideation and Concept Generation, using creative techniques to develop innovative business ideas.
Following this, ECU lecturers introduced the students to the Value Proposition Canvas and Business Model Canvas—essential frameworks in business development. These tools helped students articulate the unique value of their ideas and create sustainable business models. Through practical sessions on Business Model Creation and Marketing and Branding Strategies, students developed skills in market positioning and brand development, understanding how to craft an identity that resonates with target audiences.
The program’s final sessions shifted focus to Financial Considerations, including budgeting and financial viability, and concluded with Pitching and Presentation Skills. In this last module, students practiced delivering compelling presentations, refining their ability to communicate their ideas effectively to potential investors and partners. With expert guidance from ECU lecturers, this immersive experience provided Undiknas students with valuable business insights and practical skills essential for success in a global business environment.
