
Creative Minds, Strategic Moves: Teesside University Workshop at Undiknas
Denpasar, Bali, July 29th 2026— Undiknas University held a guest lecture titled “Creative Minds, Strategic Moves: The Making of a Creative Industry Entrepreneur,” featuring Dominic Dunn, Associate Dean (International) at Teesside University Business School. The guest lecture provided participants with insights into building careers and entrepreneurial ventures in the creative and digital industries. Throughout the session, participants explored how creative ideas can be developed into sustainable business opportunities through strategic thinking, business management knowledge, and an entrepreneurial mindset.


The 75-minute session, including a question-and-answer segment, highlighted the connection between artistic innovation and business strategy. Participants were encouraged to view creativity not only as a form of expression, but also as a foundation for developing products, identifying market opportunities, and building businesses in the digital era. The session also discussed the importance of management knowledge for creative professionals, particularly when launching careers or businesses in the digital technology sector. Participants gained a broader understanding of how creativity, innovation, and commercial awareness can support long-term professional growth.
Dominic Dunn shared insights based on his experience in the creative media industry, including film, television, and broadcast radio. His background in digital transformation and emerging technologies offered participants an international perspective on the changing creative industry.


Through this guest lecture, Undiknas continued to provide students with global learning experiences and practical perspectives beyond the classroom.
