
Undiknas – Australia Consulate General Public Lecture: Building Bridges Through Youth Leadership
Denpasar, Bali, June 2, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) welcomed Dr. Kirrilee Hughes, researcher at the International Education Association of Australia and founder of Bestari Consulting, as the keynote speaker in a public lecture. The event was organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of Australia in Bali and the Australian Embassy, highlighting the strong educational and cultural partnership between Indonesia and Australia.


Carrying the theme “Bridging Futures: Youth Leadership, Cultural Exchange, and People-to-People Connections in the Australia–Indonesia Relationship,” Dr. Hughes emphasized the importance of empowering young leaders to become catalysts for change. She shared insights on how cultural exchange programs and interpersonal connections can strengthen bilateral ties, while also encouraging students to embrace global perspectives in their academic and professional journeys.


The lecture was attended by students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, who actively engaged in discussions about leadership, communication, and intercultural collaboration. The event not only provided academic enrichment but also inspired students to explore opportunities for international engagement. Through this initiative, Undiknas reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing globally minded graduates and fostering meaningful partnerships that contribute to the future of Indonesia–Australia relations.
