MOU Signing: Collaboration with ICMA

Denpasar – On 13th of April 2022, Mr. Daniel Godwin Sihotang as President of ICMA Australia – Indonesia branch came to visit Undiknas University. Mr. Daniel’s arrival was not without reason, he was here to sign the MOU of cooperation between Undiknas University and ICMA. Mr. Daniel, who was also accompanied by the Head of International Office, was invited to tour the facilities at Undiknas before finally signing the MOU.

There are 5 important points listed in the MOU, namely: 1) Collaboration in terms of the refereeing of articles submitted for publication in the ICMA Journal. 2) Promoting the symposiums/conferences/seminars of the two institutions. 3) Providing free ‘student memberships’ for 3 years for the university’s accounting/finance undergraduate students. 4) Providing free ‘Graduate Management Accountant (GMA) memberships’ for 2 years for the university’s accounting/finance post-graduate students. 5) Other activities that contribute to the research and professional development between the two institutions.

In addition, Undiknas University is also trusted to be the host for the International Conference which will be held in November. The International Conference in collaboration with ICMA will later present speakers who are experts in their fields and invite international participants, including professors, academics, students, and the general public to come directly to Bali to take part in this event. Mr Daniel hopes that with the signing of this MOU, more fruitful collaboration can be established in the future. It is a great opportunity for Undiknas University which also has an international accounting program to initiate the programs offered by ICMA.
