IISMA Program: Visiting Korea!
Denpasar – On February 14, 2022, coincide with Valentine’s Day, International Office Undiknas accompanied A. A. Sagung’s wife Amanda Ragani, one of the international class students who achieve the Indonesian International Mobility Awards (IISMA) scholarship program. The Indonesian International Mobility Awards or abbreviated as IISMA is one of the renowned programs of the Independent Campus program which is managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti), Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud). This IISMA program provides opportunities and facilitates students to develop themselves and their skills outside of campus. In addition, this program also encourages students to enrich their experiences, exchange cultures, and build networks with international communities and academics. This program is open to undergraduate students in all universities in Indonesia.
Later in Korea, Amanda will spend 1 semester at Hanyang University starting from February to June. Hanyang University is a research-based private university in South Korea. Hanyang comes from the old name of the capital city Seoul which was used during the Chosun Dynasty. There she will experience and learn firsthand the cultural background, hone her language skills and gain networks that will be useful in the future. Previously, Undiknas had also succeeded in sending one of its students by the name of Wanda to U.K. who is also an awardee of the IISMA scholarship program, where she studied at the University of Lancaster. Students who take part in this IISMA program do not need to worry about costs because it is fully funded.
