Fostering Academic Excellence: MoA Signing Strengthens Educational Collaboration Between Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas University) and Teesside University
United Kingdom – In a significant step towards fostering academic collaboration and facilitating knowledge exchange, two esteemed institutions have come together to formalize their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). February 22-23, 2024, Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas University) and Teesside University proudly announced their commitment to collaborative endeavors aimed at advancing research, education, and cultural engagement. Undiknas University have signed two Memorandum of Agreements (MoA) with Teesside University London and Teesside University Middlesbrough, building upon the momentum from a previously signed MoU related to the dual degree program which took place at Undiknas University in June 2023.
The collaboration event was attended by the Rector of Undiknas University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa, S.T., S.Sos., M.M., IPM., ASEAN. Eng., accompanied by the Head of International Office Undiknas, Ida Nyoman Basmantra, S.Pd., M.Pd., M.M. During the event, the first Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by Professor Christina Jayne, the Director and Dean of Computing, Engineering, and Digital Technologies, representing Teesside University London. Subsequently, the second MOA was signed by Mr. George Hunt, the Director of International Department, representing Teesside University Middlesbrough. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of an exceptional educational experience for students. It encompasses various initiatives such as enhancing facilities and curriculum, providing opportunities for student involvement in research projects, fostering the development of academic skills, and promoting global synergy.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) has successfully led to the establishment of three primary components: First related to Teaching and Education Collaboration which includes short courses, semesters abroad, enrichment programs, company visits, and opportunities for students to engage with professors from both institutions. Second, related to Research Collaboration which allows both institutions to engage in joint research initiatives in areas such as business management, accounting and finance, digital and computing data science, and health science. Lastly, Sustainability Collaboration where both institutions have the opportunity to collaborate on a project-based society program focused on environmental sustainability.
The signing of this Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) marks a pivotal moment in laying the foundation for a strong framework of collaboration between the two institutions. This collaboration is poised to drive educational progress, foster cultural exchange, and facilitate international cooperation that transcends geographical constraints.
