Undiknas Hosts Briefing on Accelerating Waste Management in Bali Province
Denpasar, Bali, January, 16, 2025 – The National Education University (Undiknas) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting sustainable development agendas by organizing the event “Briefing on Accelerating Waste Management in Bali Province”, held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Antonio Gramsci Room, 3rd Floor, Building A, Undiknas. This event was organized by the Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) through the Bali and Nusa Tenggara Environmental Control Center as part of efforts to strengthen the role of the younger generation in supporting environmental management policies, particularly the acceleration of waste management in Bali Province. The briefing featured speaker Fatirahma Mustafa, S.Hut., M.URP., Head of the Subdivision for Facilitating the Integration of Environmental Planning and Development Control of the Bali and Nusa Tenggara Environmental Control Center. During the session, participants gained insights into the challenges of waste management, strategies for integrating environmental planning, and the importance of collaborative roles between government, educational institutions, and society.
The event was attended by representatives of the Undiknas Student Representative Council (DPM) and the Student Activity Support Undiknas (SATU) Team, who have long been actively involved in various student activities and sustainability-based social programs. The presence of students in this forum was an important part of contextual learning that fosters awareness and social responsibility. Undiknas’ participation in this activity aligns with the spirit of the Impactful Campus Program initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), which encourages universities not only to excel academically but also to make tangible contributions to solving societal issues. Through active student involvement and collaboration with government institutions, Undiknas continues to strengthen its position as an adaptive, relevant, and impactful campus. This briefing is expected to mark the beginning of more collaborative initiatives between the Undiknas academic community and various stakeholders, particularly in strategic issues such as environmental sustainability and sustainable development.
