
Undiknas Welcomes Universitas Muslim Indonesia Visit: Strengthening HR Governance and Exploring Tridharma Collaboration
Denpasar, Bali, December 5, 2025 – Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) received a working visit from a delegation representing Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) as part of an effort to strengthen bilateral relations between the two higher education institutions. This visit served as a strategic forum for both universities to discuss fundamental aspects of educational administration, with a primary focus on the exchange of insights regarding institutional governance and Human Resource Management (HRM) that is adaptive to the dynamics of modern education. This meeting marks a joint commitment to enhancing campus managerial quality through a spirit of collaboration.


During the warm and constructive discussion session, both parties shared empirical experiences regarding best practices in HRM within the higher education environment. The topics covered strategies for the capacity building of academic and non-academic staff, as well as the creation of a productive work ecosystem to support superior academic performance. Undiknas and UMI agreed that professional HRM governance constitutes the primary foundation for maintaining institutional sustainability and competitiveness amidst increasingly tight global competition. Beyond sharing managerial insights, this meeting was also utilized to explore concrete cooperation opportunities within the framework of strengthening the Tridharma of Higher Education (Three Pillars of Higher Education). The discussion on potential collaboration narrowed down to several strategic priority areas for both institutions. These cooperation opportunities include scientific development in the field of Psychology, the acceleration of study program internationalization to enhance global exposure, and the initiation of partnership in Medical education, which is considered to have high urgency in public service.


This working visit is expected to serve as a solid initial step for establishing long-term synergy between Undiknas and Universitas Muslim Indonesia. Through the exploration of cooperation in vital fields such as Psychology, Medicine, and international programs, both institutions strive to present relevant and high-quality educational solutions. This synergy is believed to not only provide mutual benefits for institutional development but also make a tangible contribution to the advancement of higher education in Indonesia as a whole.
