Undiknas Welcomes Universitas Ibnu Khaldun Visit: Strengthening Internationalization Synergy and SDGs Governance
Denpasar, Bali, December 4, 2025 – Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (Undiknas) received an honorary visit from Universitas Ibnu Khaldun (UIKA) Bogor as part of a comparative study and institutional cooperation initiative. The primary agenda of the meeting focused on the exchange of insights regarding internationalization strategies and the governance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the higher education environment. This visit served as a strategic momentum for both institutions to discuss the challenges and opportunities in integrating global sustainable development agendas into modern and competitive academic governance.

During the discussion session, Undiknas comprehensively shared the experiences and best practices it has implemented regarding SDGs management. As the host, Undiknas outlined how sustainability values are not merely rhetorical but have been effectively internalized into the curriculum, research, and community service. This strategic approach ensures that the institution makes a tangible contribution to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda, while simultaneously strengthening the university’s position in global rankings and recognition through measurable and impactful programs. Undiknas also highlighted several specific strengths that serve as the main pillars of its SDGs achievements, particularly focusing on Gender Equality, Quality Education, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, as well as Partnerships for the Goals. This commitment is reflected in the creation of an inclusive and equitable academic environment, the enhancement of infrastructure supporting digital innovation, and the expansion of strategic partnership networks at both national and international levels to support a high-quality education ecosystem.

Beyond internal governance, the discussion underscored the active contribution of Undiknas’ human resources in the external realm. This is evidenced by the active participation of numerous Undiknas lecturers who are directly involved in various SDGs sectors within the government, contributing expertise and thought leadership to public policy formulation. Through this meeting, it is hoped that the synergy between Undiknas and Universitas Ibnu Khaldun will remain strong, driving the acceleration of higher education quality in Indonesia that is oriented towards sustainability and a global perspective.
