Undiknas University to Forge Partnership with Shanghai University: A Step Towards Sustainable Education
Denpasar, November 30, 2024 – Undiknas University is set to establish a promising partnership with Shanghai University (SHU), China, as part of its ongoing efforts to expand global collaborations and promote sustainable education across the Asian continent. Facilitated by Asia Exchange, this partnership aims to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular focus on enhancing the quality of education and embedding sustainability into academic initiatives. As a key step in formalizing the collaboration, a delegation from Undiknas University, led by Professor Dr. Ir. Nyoman Sri Subawa, Rector of Undiknas, Mr. Ida Nyoman Basmantra, Head of the International Office, and Mr. I Made Arta Wiguna, Rector Office Staff, will visit Shanghai University on November 4th and 7th, 2024.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with notable representatives from SHU, including Professor Dr. LI Yingjie, Deputy Director of SHU Global and Dean of the College of International Education, and Ms. HUANG Xin, Program Manager of the Office of International Students’ Programs. This collaboration is expected to pave the way for joint research projects, student and faculty exchange programs, and the integration of sustainability into educational frameworks. Both institutions aim to create long-term, impactful initiatives that contribute to global efforts in education and development, while strengthening the academic ties within Asia.
