Day 4 of Bali Beyond Borders Program: Exploring HR Practices and Hospitality Industry Insights
Denpasar, Bali, January 8, 2025 – On the fourth day of Undiknas University’s Bali Beyond Borders program, participants were immersed in the complexities of human resource management in Southeast Asia, followed by an insightful visit to one of Bali’s premier hospitality establishments. The day began with an engaging class on Recruitment and Human Resource Management in ASEAN. This session offered participants an in-depth look at the practices, challenges, and opportunities in human resources within the ASEAN region. ASEAN countries are known for their diverse cultures and rapidly growing economies, and the class explored how these factors influence HR practices, particularly in areas like recruitment, employee retention, and talent management.
Led by Undiknas lecturer that is an HR expert, the session covered critical topics such as the evolving role of HR in the digital age, the importance of cultural sensitivity when managing a multinational workforce, and strategies for navigating the competitive job markets in ASEAN countries. Participants also explored the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and how HR professionals can create environments that foster both employee satisfaction and organizational success. The management team shared insights into the hotel’s operations, focusing on key aspects such as customer service excellence, employee engagement, and the role of HR in the hospitality sector.
